In this book Scars you Can?t See, Rita talks about her anger, bitterness and hatred which developed in her through the course of the years. She uses her own life experiences to tell the story. God gave her two tools to help her with her negative feelings. These tools are her attitude and her thinking. We have no control over anyone but ourselves. Resentments do no good at all. They just hurt the one who is harboring them. Rita spent her life under a great deal of stress trying to live up to the expectations of others. Every word of this book is true but it is not meant to hurt anyone. When she talks about people who hurt her she does not want anyone to look down on them. Rita is the victim of a stressed out unhappy childhood. This all took its toll on her later on in life. She mentions in this book that people stay in unhealthy marriages because they don?t have the courage or strength to admit they made a mistake. It is really much easier to stay. She says we all have scars you can?t see. This explains why sometimes people can display unacceptable behavior to one another. Rita is also the author of a poetry book My Heart My Mind and My Pen Combined published through Xlibris. She attended Catholic all girls boarding schools and colleges, but has her bachelor?s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison NJ. Rita is a practicing Roman Catholic. In addition to writing this book she is a singer songwriter and musician of Christian Gospel songs.
