Beautifully illustrated by nine year old gifted artist Richie Burke. The True Story of Marty has a comforting/inspiring affect for any child living with any disability; physical,learning or emotional. The message is simple: Successs does not always come quickly and that we all feel different from time to time and it is these differences that make us unique and the world much more colorful. The main characters, 2 horses (that were rescued from slaughter several years ago) Marty with a physical difference and Sweet Pea with learning challenges. Marty coaches Sweet Pea over a fallen tree which is seperating her from the rest of the herd, she makes the jump but not before a few silly mishaps. A portion of the proceeds from this book will be donated to horse rescue.
