Un dragon se sauve de son conte, vexé d'être toujours le méchant. Il voudrait, pour une fois, être le héros. Il rencontre un des trois petits cochons, Boucle d'or, Hansel et Gretel, et le Petit Chaperon rouge, mais aucun d'eux ne veut d'un dragon dans son histoire.

Puis, il arrive au pied d'un haricot magique, et se fait repérer par un géant. Il n'y pas de dragon dans cette histoire-là non plus, mais le géant s'en moque.

Maintenant que le géant a rejoint les contes, tous les personnages veulent que le dragon devienne le héros de leur histoire.
