It is written in an easy to read style that has depth and subplots that involve the reader in the emotional trauma of ordinary people caught up in a life and death struggle. Against the back drop of death and destruction two men, Will and Sam, fight for the love of one woman. The emotional undercurrents intensify to a fever pitch for Will is confronted daily with the sight of the woman he loves holding a baby fathered by a man he hates.
