Bill Burkett and his gang rob a large money shipment from the east that is on its way to banks in California. They make their getaway into the Mojave Desert where Burkett had buried kegs of water and supplies weeks in advance, making their escape possible. With a posse hot on their trail behind them ,also prepared for just such an attempt, Burkett and his gang soon find themselves faced with another problem; a deadly problem. A mysterious Indian begins killing members of the gang, as well as members of the posse. The climax occurs high in the Sierra/Nevada mountains with a deadly fight to the finish.
