DCI Katie Mitchell is called to the Superintendent's office with her partner, DSI Colin Farnsworth and learns that the Super is forming a major inquiry team to investigate six murders in Hyde Park. All the murders have taken place on a full moon at midnight. The fist murder was ten years ago and was left unsolved. The victim's name was Paul Whittaker and he was shot in the head and died. The last five victims have been women. All of the women were raped and shot with the same gun that killed Paul Whittaker. Semen is found on all five victims who were shot. The DNA matches the dead victim, Paul Whittaker.

DCI Katie Mitchell is torn between the parents who swear that Paul Whittaker is an only child and the other legend is that it's Paul's ghost come back to get revenge.

Katie's love life goes through a whirl when she finds that working and having a relationship is a lot more challenging than when she met Jamie on holiday. Will their love survive?
