The Stagnant Civilization: an Exercise in Hermeneutics

Originally intended as a Master's Thesis in English Literature, The Stagnant Civilization was violently rejected by the author's advisory committee. In a normal analysis of William Faulkner's great novel Absalom, Absalom!, this inquiry necessarily confronts the effect of Racism in American society, and then proceeds toward startling conclusions which transcend Literary Criticism by positing implications for Society as a whole, and pointing toward a new and multicultural social paradigm.
