Dr. Juergen Schrenk was born, raised and lived in Germany from 1945 to 1972, then again from 1979 to 1985. He resided and worked in the United States from 1972 to 1979, and from 1986 to present. In Germany, he lived in Bavaria (his favorite part of the country), Swabia and North Rhine-Westphalia, in the US in Massachusetts, Maryland, California (his present and favorite home), Illinois, Indiana and New Jersey (a close second). He has visited all other states of the union and some of its territories, and traveled extensively in more than 50 countries. He has used his time in these various locations not only to enjoy life (and it was enjoyable everywhere), but also to collect observations on how things could be even better.

He loves the "Old Country's" quaint villages as much as the New World's wide-open spaces and considers himself lucky to have had the pleasure of experiencing both. He encountered many good people (and a few obnoxious ones) on both sides of the Atlantic and could never decide where he belongs. Which is not a bad problem to have.
