For sixteen years, Krypton Ight had been living his life the simple way; the way all peasant boys lived life in the world of Aristen, a world trapped on the verge of breaking through its medieval setting. School, chores, eating, sleeping, and being pushed around by his older siblings were the major aspects in his life. Being the youngest, he was automatically forced to do everything he was told, no matter how boring it seemed to him. Krypton was growing tired of this simplistic life. He wanted adventure. He wanted fun. Perhaps it would have been better if he really had not wanted it all; if he had not dreamed of another world outside his own, full of excitement. Everything would be as it had been. Life would be simple, yet pure. The past, however, refuses to be altered. Krypton Ight is the first of a series of the four main chapters in Krypton's unique life.
