Fatally Infatuated, is based on a premature affair between a student and a counselor; from a University. As implied upon the title of this drama. The main character (Shelby Anniston) does, as stated, fall fatally infatuated with a male; 3 times older than she was! Her undying love for him was seen, at first, as an innocent girl-crazy crush upon the ideal man of her dreams. However, when the counselor¿s wife revealed that Shelby¿s phenomenal ordeal of love for him was nothing more than a sheer of lust. Lust, that seemed to have been lashed over her eyes, in order to blind her into seeing him as her knight in shining armor. She, then, lost control of her emotions by acting ill due to insanity! Shelby had no clue of what true romance was? Because her mother never told her any facts about "the birds and the bees." So, Shelby had to rely on her newest friend, Donna Harley, for guidance. Both met while they were in the mist of attending college. Although, Shelby was a antimonial red-haired outcast and Don was an outgoing brunette. Shelby tried hard to overlook Donna¿s perfection. But, suddenly, after Don started dating the quarter backer off their school¿s football team. Shelby soon became envious of the two. The more her friend went on to go steady with her partner. The more Shelby¿s jealousy had grown. In fact, it grew to the point where she had slit her flesh, for attention. Plus, she wrote a threat letter to Donna. Of course, that letter concerned her and led Don to report it to their counselor. Once, Shelby found out that Don had been seeing him; behind her back.
