It is with pleasure that we share our adoption story. Over the years, before and after Arianna was born, I had the chance to speak with many families, both pre and post adoption. One of the concerns I heard often was how to explain adoption to their children. Not having a "story" myself, I listened to some fairly intricate and complicated explanations. When Ari was born, I had the opportunity to meet the woman who gave birth to her, Claudia. It was at that time our adoption story truly came alive. I realize there are many ways to talk to children about adoption. The conversations we have with our children are very personal and special. Our story, I share, because I believe it shows adoption from a different point of view. How many adoptive families have looked into the eyes of their children and thought "This was meant to be". Our story representsthese strong feelings. It is told from a simple, happy and positive perspective. I hope you enjoy.
