The struggle for supremacy between offense and defense must continue if football is to progress. There are so many styles of attack in use, with countless variations possible in each style, that it is sometimes difficult to recognize a new approach. The purpose of this book is to present such a new approach in the form of a hypothetical offensive system. An attempt will be made to spotlight the motives behind the attack. While the ideas set forth in this edition may not be in accordance with those of many coaches, fans, and students of the game, the author sincerely hopes that the book will provide interesting, even though controversial, material for the reader.
