A young French girl, Michelle Barberon dreams of a young man who is trying to take his own life by running a garden hose from the tail pipe of his car in through the passengers side window. She cannot see his face but somehow feels an overwhelming bond to him. Knowing the young man was soon to die Michelle, on impulse, races into a nearby street to attract the attention of an approaching police car. Then-- she awakens, never knowing whatever happened to the dying young man. Years later, Michelle has become a famous French celebrity, and on her way home to France from a skiing trip, she and her entourage make an unexpected stopover in Atlanta. There, by chance encounter she meets David Simmons, an aviation worker for the airline she traveled on. Both of them are consumed with strong feelings of familiarity, and guided by bizarre coincidences. Dance with a Princess weaves the surrealism of dreams and metaphysics into an unconventional love story with an ending that neither David or Michelle could ever imagine.
