"This is a story of Godwin, an alien from a different cosmic dimension who was born to an earth mother prior to the arrival of the 20th Century. Before his arrival upon earth, Godwin's earthly parents had moved from the eastern seaboard of North America to a remote mountain valley located somewhere in the vast area that had come to be known as the American West.

As the story unfolds the reader comes to identify with Godwin, a human yet alien being. During his early childhood years Godwin gradually comes to accept his unique status upon earth and through trial and error he comes to be judicious in his various interactions with the human beings among whom he lives. Although he comes to adapt to human society, he always remains vaguely conscious of his true heritage.

As he grows into manhood and as a consequence of his half alien status upon the earth, Godwin is often forced to face many unusual and extraordinary dangerous adventures; challenges that would daunt an ordinary man.

All through his subsequent sojourn upon the earth, Godwin is torn between his human inclinations and longings and that aspect of his being which he comes to recognize as alien. He forms many enduring friendships but because of his origin he is often challenged by vicious enemies, some of whom threaten his very existence at various times.

Godwin possesses a powerful physical body as well as a high degree of intelligence, but most of all, he carries within him an unusual power that he comes to recognize as the Caluma.

Strongly passionate in nature he is sensually attracted to various members of the opposite sex, yet he never marries.

Enough said, read the book. Not only will you come to know and to identify with an unusual being but you will grow to admire and to sympathize with a tachyon who appears in human form upon the earth from out of an unknown dimension not governed by time and space.
