In this political action thriller, dropout Vietnam Veteran Edward Teach happens upon and kills a marauding bear and becomes a local hero in the isolated NC mountains where he lives quietly with his Vietnamese wife Djo. Due to his newly acquired notoriety, he decides to get more involved with the community by teaching a GED class at the local prison. Little does he know that he would need all his skills as a war veteran and ex-lawyer in running for Congress with the help of his prison GED students, solving a gruesome murder, rescuing Djo from fanatic kidnappers, exposing the violence of a secret extremist church, and literally fighting for his life.
