A story of a very lonely but gifted eagle named Canary who met a white tiger cub, Roary. Both alone and ignored by their own kind, found something in common through their differences, a friendship. This story embraces friendship, acceptance, individual strength through differences, and unity in the value of friendship. The Eagle Named Canary shows self-empowerment creates positive changes and opens opportunity.

An author's inspiration to write about diversity using two powerful animals with softer traits in the book due to her views on issues like racism and anti-bullying. This is the author's first children's book and since felt pens were used alot in her youth at school, she decide to used them for her illustrations. The cover shows an eagle flying high to find new meaning, new adventure. It took 10 years to publish this book since it was just a dream and finally self-publishing was available thanks to technology!

An Eagle Named Canary has further themes of empowerment and diversity. A passion that the author promotes in her job as a HR professional A book suitable for early learners and class discussions.
