Napoleon the poodle plays host to a menagerieof animals who have been invited to "ride out" the hurricane at hishouse. While his man is busy taking care of the people guests,the poodle is organizing the animals. They follow the advice of"The Old One," an ancient Siamese cat who sits under the garden shedand watches. She has told them to "stick together and take careof each other." These friends unite and survive a very scaryordeal, and they have all sorts of adventures during the long night.
