Douglas Taylor was an ordinary man who was finishing up college andcasually planning his future. He had no cares in the worldgreater than the worry of whether or not the girl of his affections wasinterested in dating him. But everything changed with the arrivalof a mysterious, computerized probe in space. The probe hadtraveled from an alternate universe to find anything that would wouldhelp its creators in their struggles of war. Not only was Dougunaware of the probe's existence, but he was also unaware that itsprimary target had become himself! During his mental struggleswith the probe, Doug changes and grows both mentally and physically tophenominal levels that push the bondaries of what his mortal frame canhold. His world is inexorably turned upside down by powers beyondhis control when he is forcibly taken to the alternate dimension and isnot only forced to endure isolation from all that he knows, but thrustinto the forefront and asked to utilize his recently attained power toliberate an entire galaxy.
