When Lark Adnama finds a pencil one day as she is walking to school, her world is turned upside-down. The school falls down, and Lark is sure that it is the pencil's fault. She rushes out the door to another world. She finds out that those she should be able to trust are her enemies, and the "criminals" are her friends. Through mishap and adventure, Lark finds out what this world really is: magic. The pencil somehow pulls Lark and her fairy friends out of all the trouble that they get hauled into. Scheming fairies and perfect swordsmanship are the deciding factors in the grand finale of this wildly enchanting adventure.
