A small town in England is shocked when they learn that a young girl had been brutally murdered. When some of the town leaders is also brutally murdered in the same fashion it is link to a family that has vanished who use to live there. The search for the family spans across three continents before they are almost caught. However, some of the memers of the family escape to the backwoods of what is now West Virginia with a very dark evil secret. They had settled into a small town and over a century the evil embodied the town, but the town didn't believe in the superstition and just help keep by their non-belief that a evil was there. A new sheriff was select by the governor and he is force to stand alone against the town's evil that is there and learn the "Truth of the Brunswick's Legend" before it kills his family and him.
