Growing up on a farm, my family raised a variety of animals, which along with my family's love of God's Creatures inspired most of the stories in the book. "Di-nop-o-lus" was written as a tribute to my great-granddaughter, Laya, who loves dinosaurs and was also the book's illustrator. "New Neighbors" includes detailed information about a particular animal (i.e., beavers), which is meant to educate early learners. While each of the stories was written for a young reader's enjoyment, they also teach a life lesson. I hope you, as the reader, enjoy these stories. Grandma Doyne
