This story is a promise I made to my mum and to myself when she died,she was an ordinary lady with an extraordinary courage, and passed all the values she held dear to her thirteen children at some cost to herself. This then is her legacy, her mark on the world, she may be gone but she lives within all of us. I never had the chance to tell her how much she was loved and how proud I was of her, so although this has been many years in the writing I have indeed fulfilled this promise.
