Murfreesboro resident, Tammy Jensen, has published her first in a series of children's books. Tammy wrote the series of books 10 years ago and last April happened upon a publisher for her books. The books are not sequential, building upon each other, but all follow the same theme that children have a pure and simple depth of insight and the capability to love and believe that adults often have become less sensitive to. Tammy believes that, "As adults and parents of these amazing little people, we should be their encouragers and supporters and not the stumbling block that crushes and suffocates the potential and possibilities in them."In Angel with a Broken Wing, the little angels from Heaven's Gate have asked for Jenny's help. Jenny and Jericho are getting ready to start back to school and Jericho has been in an accident. Jenny doesn't know how, but she is determined to do what the angels have asked. She gets to experience first hand what it means to be the hope that others can cling to. It's a very big mission for such a young girl and a good lesson for those of us who are the parents of very special people, our children. This is the first book in a series of stories that will inspire and encourage young people to dream the biggest dreams and run towards them. Tammy purposely created these books a little more advanced than beginning readers can finish on their own in the hope that parents would set and read the books with their children. The message in the book is as much for parents as the child. "The child is encouraged to believe in who they are, while the parents are encouraged to believe in the heart and spirit of their child."
