A Missing Piece of Jigsaw: The Birth, Life and Death of a Destructive Relationship An anthology of didactic poems written over a two year period which illustrates the desperation and predictable demise of an emotionally abusive relationship, along with the gradual destruction of a trusting nature; this work was published to offer solace to others in a similar situation. The reader should attempt some critical analysis around the role of the victim and of the 'missing piece of jigsaw'. The respondent displayed a range of narcissistic traits as well as compulsive lying and the catalyst for the end of the relationship was participation in a lie detector test (see page 36: 'I didn't do anything'). Responses are expressed in italic font and a single contribution from a third party (the lie detection consultant) is presented at page 56. Readers might identify a range of other issues including insecurity, dependence and love addiction and the author hopes that this work will helpothers in a similar situation to work through their pain through examination of a dysfunctional relationship that nearly cost the author her sanity.
