In welcome home Joe the writer shares a vital and timeless message to all generations. The only son of a polish war bride and an orphaned shoe shine boy brought up with a romantic vision of war , then learned of war first hand.

While in Vietnam he became involved with drugs and upon returning home in 1968 shot himself while under the influence of drugs . His close friend and fiancée committed suicide. Everything from glue to heroin, looking for peace as a long hair , into the occult , the boogie and blues scene, traveling over much of America and Europe, driving eighteen wheelers , working off the sides of sky scrapers, new sports cars, partying hard for years, with a bitter heart against the war, the establishment and even after being saved, turned away backsliding.



But then he came back to the only one with life, the only one with all the answers, the only one with true peace, the prince of peace, the god of truth, Jesus Christ.
