After graduation, young Olivia Kayne can't wait to spread her wings. Leaving her very sheltered life in Montana, she sets out to pursue her dreams in the busiest city in the country, New York. Things are very different from living in the mountains of Montana. Growing up, Olivia knew strict discipline, deep-seated morals, and taking a person at face value. Her innocence proves to be very dangerous, however, when a mysterious package arrives. Caught in a web of deceit and after experiencing a vicious attack, Olivia flees in search of a place to heal--broken and betrayed. She meets Joshua, a self-centered man, closed off with scars of his own. He's mean, cantankerous, and she knows it, but the more determined they are to stay on opposite sides of the fence; the more fate pushes them together.
