Life has been good lately for Coast Guard officer turned Kodiak, Alaska lawyer Hayden White. He's just back from vacation, his firm is doing well and, with the exception of his family and friends nagging him about a lack of a love life, he has no complaints. But all that changes when people he knows start dying and his wayward brother is accused of their murders.
