Taken is the autobiography of Alwin "Bobby" Watts. It covers the first 15 years of his life, eight of them in care homes. He tells his story in his own inimitable style and recounts many events, both amusing and shocking. These pages contain the story of a boy in crisis, but with his fantastic sense of fun, over comes all obstacles to become one of Major Dick Hern's (race horse trainer to the Queen), travelling head lads. The reason he has written this book is to remind those who have responsibility for young children in care, that the real nightmare of being separated from brothers, sisters and family is not knowing when they are going to be re-united.
