On a cold night, in a small town, Sam Cothfer's life is turned upside down when he begins receiving messages from beyond the grave. The messages warn him of impending danger to his new girlfriend, Dina Burns. The day after receiving these messages, Dina is involved in a tragic car accident, caused by a creature known to the dead as "The Devourer," Lucifer's personal Angel of Death. After Dina's death, the ghostly warnings continue, leaving Sam questioning his samity, his beliefs, and what he thought was reality as he dives into a complex world of which he has little understanding.
