This is a stirring story of two enterprising youth who miraculously make it on their own, with the aid, protection and comfort of a highly intelligent and loving dog. The sister who was eleven, her brother, thirteen, and their companion female Lab, have no choice but to keep running after witnessing the gruesome murder.
