Pat's Patch is a collection of poems and literary anecdotes created for children and adults . The creations reflect observations of the author and sights or creatures she has encountered along the path of life. Some of the characters that enhance the writings have been very much alive companions from the time the author was able to insinuate herself into Mama Pig's bed for herself and her brood of piglets to today's life with Lily-"The Chihuahua who controls our lives" Pat says her aim in writing these works "was to bring pleasure to today's children and adults in the same way 'A Child's Garden of Verses' brought me so much joy-first when it was read to me and later when I could read and recite the words myself.
