In her new book, Hand-Print and Heart-Print Memorials: Stones of Remembrance, Verna-Lea Turner shares the testimonies from individuals around the country of their personal encounters with God to inspire and teach the next generation about God This collection of letters provides examples of how God has touched individuals' lives. Handwritten letters are displayed in the book for a personal connection and repeated in a standard, typed font for clarity. "Sending letters to possible respondents, I asked for a handwritten account of some special way God had dealt with them--handwritten because the writing of a person is very personal and unique, just as the Father's dealing with the heart of each of us is unique and special. For future generations to have a record of both impressions was my goal. Through the testimonies, stories are told that teach the reader about God's grace, compassion and love for individuals; the necessity of song and praise; preparation for Christ's return; knowing God's character and respecting God. The Holy Spirit is also discussed, as readers learn about spiritual warfare, the power of words, prayer and handling difficult problems in life. More than 40 scriptural references scattered throughout the book inspire and add meaning to the testimonies. Readers will enjoy the great stories and supernatural events told through the testimonies.
