In this life, some become stagnant in their spiritual growth because of whom their parents were or their upbringing by their parents. If your father was an alcoholic, you don't have to be an alcoholic. If your mother was a prostitute, you don't have to go around sleeping with every Tom, Dick and Harry. Then there are other children that become stagnant in their growth because of the church covenant that they were raised into. Since we are in an era of praise, worship and holiness, being in a certain denomination can't put us in a right standing with our Heavenly Father. When we meet God face to face He will only be concerned with our relationship with His Son Christ Jesus.
