"Strength of Allies" by E. I. Velasquez is a work of fiction. This book is a science fiction epic in which "a woman named Manaran woke up from a bad dream of the future ad what evil might possibly come." Manaran found a boy named Jevin-quin whom she raised from a child and trained him to be a warrior who will fight this evil. Together they round up a collection of warriors and mutant warriors to do battle with Prince Devlon who wishes to conquer Planet Tyler. This epic begins en media rest so that the readers first encounter Jevin after defeating Devlon and his forces at Dotson Forest. There we meet his ally Shaleen and his other ally Roydell whom he met in a land called Lavins. The story looks both forward to their adventures and backwards to fill in the gaps in the story so that the reader is presented with exciting action as well as intriguing plot background. Jevin-quin acquires other allies such as, a man named Drigz. Together they become known as the "Shepherds of the Universe." Throughout the book they have man adventures involving robots spiders, real spiders, Nasty Elves, and flying lizards. The Shepherds team up with another group called the Scarletknights and have a final showdown with Devlon in his fortress called Black Dawn. Devlon has three rings, the rings of Orla, that give him power, but in the battle Drigz uses his knowledge to take everyone's vision balls and create a wormhole large enough to suck the rings into, trapping them forever. The book ends by only by leaving Devlon still conniving but by also telling of a group of freedom fighters called the Freers who go to Devlon's slave camp called the Slave World to free the millions and maybe billions of slaves there.
