Andrew Rossi lived with his family in Venice, Italy. Besides school, soccer, and his dog Sparky, his priorities included his sister Katie, she had leukemia. Andrew's best friend was Ian Lexington. Neither one of them had ever been far from home. All of this was about to change. They never imagined what they were about to encounter. On one friday afternoon, as the boys visited Ian's grandmother's grave, they somehow found themselves in to another dimension. In this other world they found unusual individuals who had a lot more in common with them than they would have ever dreamed of, and they became best friends. They had to learn their peculiar way of life, but most importantly, they had to fulfill their task. They had to overcome their own fears.
