Rebellious against formal education, following the tunnel vision accompanying a musical talent, I was 40 before I finally got a diploma the usual way, quitting high school at 16, later taking what were called State Tests in my home state of Pennsylvania. Completing two years at the University of Miami music school. Finally receiving a Doctor of Chiropractic degree, rising to name-band status, a brief, but successful rise in the financial world, and, finally, moving on to success in the world of chiropractic. While my apparently inborn musical talents made a so-called normal life impossible to attain, it really served me well. Since the only musical talent in my parents was Dad's participation in a church choir, my talent would not seem to be genetic - bringing up another controversial possibility - reincarnation - in which I tend to believe, but won't argur it with anyone. Rising through the juvenile talent show, through saloon playing, society bands, summer resorts, burlesque, anything that came along, I attained Name Band status, privileged to call many talented people of that stage of my life friends.
