The main character in the book is Kitty Romero who is a free lance religious and political writer. She is involved with protests in behalf of the gay community at the United Nations Building in New York and the Vatican in Rome. The setting is in the gay community in Oklahoma City where she meets a defrocked priest (James Newton) from New York who visits from time to time to give Bible study lessons to gay acquaintances mostly dealing with the book of Revelations. The peripheral view to the main characters in the book entails the ambitious and charismatic political leader by the name of Rene Fouche from France whose aim is to head the new one world government. He achieves this with the help of the new pope in Rome. Pope Peter is a newly elected black pope from Africa who was elected by the cardinals in 2008. Together Rene Fouche and Pope Peter form a union to plot the control of the world.
