This story is very special to Shari as her mom, Sylvia Davis, is the illustrator of Hannah. Her daughter, Alexis, had a "hand" in the illustrations as well. The collaboration of love from a mother and daughter is a common thread not only for the author and illustrator, but also for the story itself.
