Peter Worland
Hal Lindsey just wanted a relaxing spring break on a Florida beach. Instead he spent it on a desperate struggle for survival. Opting to join his girlfriend and other university students on a caving expedition to a remote, virtually unexplored cave in West Virginia, he and the group are trapped in the bowels of the cave after a horrific confrontation with some moonshiners who are using it to hide their distillery. Pinning their hopes on an old, unverified map of the interior, the survivors face numerous perils: an underground river, mudslides, an impassible pit, a maze of false leads, and festering hostilities between them. They must find a second exit before their precious light fades into fatal darkness ....
