A Rhythm in My Soul
Adrian Washington
The hardest part of writing this book, was thinking of a title that would embody everything I had put in it. Each poem represents a different facet of the spiritual diamond that I've become. In the beginning I was writing from The Black Experience, but by the end. . . I had written from the human experience. Each chapter progressed to a higher state of consciousness, and was a personal lesson in growth. I've written poetry all my life, and never once had the desire to write a book, until now. In life, we learn that everything has a time, a season, and a rhythm. The birth of a child, the leaves falling from a tree, and a heartbeat all are representative of these three things. This is the timeThis is the season. There is A Rhythm. . . In My Soul.
