Closing the Circle
Larry Slessler
"Closing the Circle is one mans 40 year journey. Intertwined throughout is the relationship of a brotherhood of men that has flourished over a half century. The journey chronicles a decade long military intelligence experience including the Cuban Crisis, Vietnam, Hawaii and the U. S. West Coast. Reintegration into civilian life becomes a challenge that takes place in small town Oregon, Seattle and a ranch in Northern California. Insights are provided from working with Vietnam Vets in a Veteran Outreach Center followed by a visit to the Soviet Union in 1990 as part of the Vet-to-Vet project between American Vietnam and Soviet Afghanistan veterans. Finally the book shares lessons the author wishes he had learned as a young man.
