Monica Jones and Gloria McClain grew up in Fulton, Ohio and became childhood friends at an early age. Monica's mother loved telling others about the mystery of Monica's birth. Monica was always mature for her age, and was very protective of Gloria. Monica just could not imagine life without her friend. They did everything together. Monica's mother knew that there would come a day when Monica and Gloria's lives would take separate paths, but she dreaded thought of that day coming.
