Doreen's Mountain Home is a true story about an Appalachian Mountain way of life covering the time before and during the Great Depression, during World War II and up to the year 2004. It tells of the hardships, trials and tribulations of raising a family of fifteen children on a mountain farm and the small income from a sawmill. It tells of the twenty eight year illness of her husband,how she fed him every meal and took care of his daily needs. It tells of the death of four of their children and the attachment Doreen had to her mountain home in spite of the hardships. Four generations of women wanting their life different, yet it sayed the same.
