Brigadier-General Ernest Alexander Cruikshank (1853-1939) was a Canadian author and noted authority on Ontario history. He wrote a number of books on this subject. He was Chairman of the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada. He was a member of the Royal Society of Canada and President of the Ontario Historical Society.
