His works include: Tales and Sketches (2 volumes) (1834), The Mysterious Bridal and Other Tales (1835), Ups and Downs in the Life of a Distressed Gentleman (1836), Life of Joseph Brant (1838), Life and Times of Red-Jacket (1841), The Poetry and History of Wyoming (1841), Uncas and Miantonomoh (1842) and Border Wars of the American Revolution (1843).
