Louis Stone
Louis Stone (1871-1935) was an Australian novelist and playwright. In 1888 he was trained as a pupil-teacher with the Department of Public Instruction. He was interested in literature and music. In 1893 he won a half scholarship at the University of Sidney, where he studied arts until 1895. His works include: Jonah (1911), On Being Fat (1912), The Lap of the Gods (1914), Betty Wayside (1915) and The Watch That Wouldn't Go (1926).
