War has enveloped Delos for hundreds of years. Evorix Vispanius now lives in exile in the frontier lands of Batopia, and longs for the way things used to be. Once a respected prefect of the Wolfryan Empire, he must now loan his sword out to the highest bidder. Mercenary life is no life at all, just battle after battle, killing anything and everything to eat every day.

Death doesn't mean anything to anyone who has lost everything; family, friends, and true love. Evorix knows there is no hope for traitors, and he won't attempt to try to redeem himself. His only motive is revenge and coin.

Late one night at The Blade, a tavern for mercs, an old friend pays him a visit and offers a solution. Gius Flavious offers him the option of joining The Rebellium, a group of ex legionaries who want their revenge as much as he does.

If he refuses, then the option will disappear. He must make a decision; live a traitors existence or reclaim his former glory, and a decent bed to sleep in. The only way back is to kill for it, and for enough coin he will.
