Under the Sun
Joey Donato
A two-act play focusing on Salvatore Oppenheimer Mansky's search for the meaning of life. Our protagonist investigates the Jersey shore in hopes of finding why one lives on earth, how one becomes fulfilled during a lifetime, and if there is anything for mankind after death. Nude beaches, the dance of the seven veils, casinos, fortunetellers, Cape May diamonds and all that lies under the sun cannot fulfill our protagonist's quest. Patch and Boswick, the keepers of wisdom, find it most difficult to convince Salvatore that there is only one way to go beyond the sun.
