Before planet Earth was called into being, the power of Darkness prevailed, absolute in its totality, uncompromising in its persistence. Then, the word was spoken, ""Let there be Light."" The Calendar is a parable about a coastal, New England town that stands, obviously, in the cross-hairs of the power of Darkness.
