According to a recent study, "Almost nine out of 10 households (87 percent) own a Bible, according to the American Bible Society, and the average household has three. But Bible reading remains spotty." Another study found that only 19 percent of people read the Bible every day and 18 percent read it rarely or never. Yet even if more people read their Bibles more regularly, reading is not enough. The real benefit to be gained from the Bible comes most dependably from studying what it has to say about everything to do with life. For most people, the problem is that they know how to READ the scriptures, but they do not know how to STUDY them. That is the purpose for this document - to explain the method that I use in my personal Bible studies.
